ICBC – Claims Support Assistants

Job Description:
– Acquire and maintain in-depth knowledge of relevant corporate and department policies, procedures and systems as they pertain to office administration
– Review reports/documents for accuracy and completeness
– Follow up to ensure correction of inaccurate information
– Respond to a wide variety of enquiries in a manner that fosters and maintains positive relations between the Company and its customers
– Use relevant computer applications to produce correspondence, reports and memos
– Greet and provide information to customers
– Work under time pressures to meet deadlines and deal with routinely repetitive work requiring focus and accuracy
– Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time while performing tasks

Requirements:
– 5 years administrative experience with a certificate/diploma in Office Administration OR 2 years Legal/Medical administration (ex. Legal Assistant, MOA)
– Proficient in business English, grammar and spelling
– Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, data entry (min. 5000kph at 95% accuracy) and typing (55wpm at 90% accuracy)
– Flexible and adaptable to changing work demands, volumes, and schedules
– Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to multitask
– Experience in a legal/medical office an asset

Qualifications & Requirements
• Post-secondary education (degree, certificate, diploma) or equivalent combination of education and a minimum of 2 years administrative experience in an office environment
• Strong customer services skills
• Ability to multi task and exercise initiative and good judgement
• Proactive and ability to prioritize
• Flexible and adaptable to changing work demands, volumes, and schedules

Key Job Requirements/Criteria
• The ability to acquire and maintain in-depth knowledge of the relevant corporate and department policies, procedures and systems.

Job Description:
– Acquire and maintain in-depth knowledge of computer systems and databases to enter, retrieve, analyze, and edit a variety of reports and data
– Follow procedures related to cash handling and revenue transactions
– Operate digital photo and vision testing equipment
– Assess identification/documents to ensure validity
– Perform with a high degree of accuracy and listen intently in order to ascertain nature of transactions.

Requirements:
– High school diploma and a minimum of 3 years working in a customer service environment (preferably face to face customer service environment)

– Experience working under tight time constraints and meeting critical deadlines
– Cash handling experience in a banking environment

– Competent in Microsoft Office and keyboarding
– Minimum data entry of 6000 nkph at 95% accuracy
– Full commitment to the duration of the assignment and punctuality essential

Salary: $22.26/hr (+ 18.8% in lieu of benefits/vacation)

Qualifications & Requirements
• Post-secondary education (degree, certificate, diploma) or equivalent combination of education and administrative experience in an office environment
• Minimum 6 months call center customer service and telephone communications experience
• Experience handling public requests for information in a computerized and regulated environment
