Project Management

We are always looking for candidates with experience supporting and managing projects to join our talent pool, to be considered for temporary and permanent positions with our clients. Our clients include the provincial government, Crown corporations, and private firms. Opportunities can include but are not limited to the following positions: Operations Assistant, Logistics Coordinator, Project Assistant, Project Coordinator, Project Analyst, Project Manager. Temporary contracts have the potential to be extended or transitioned into permanent employment.

Locations of Work: Victoria

General Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review existing systems and procedures
  • Write grant proposals and contracts
  • Develop and monitor budgets
  • Hire and supervise contractors/team members
  • Define and track project deliverables
  • Create project schedules and timelines
  • Delegate tasks and evaluate team performance
  • Schedule and record meetings
  • Maintain digital and paper files
  • Oversee quality assurance
  • Liaise with vendors, clients and stakeholders
  • Complete and present progress reports
  • Communicate and integrate new processes
  • Prepare contingency plans
  • Oversee implementation and perform quality control
  • Provide administrative support as required.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • At least 1 year of full-time experience assisting or directing full project life cycles
  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or other relevant education is preferred
  • Project Management Professional certification is an asset
  • Understanding of practices including COBIT, PMBOK, and Agile
  • Knowledge of financial concepts and change management models
  • Experience in risk management
  • High proficiency in MS Office suites including MS Project
  • Experience with digital storage systems such as SharePoint
  • Excellent analytical, research and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills that can be adapted to different audiences
  • Confident leadership skills as well as receptiveness to new ideas/feedback
  • Strong time management skills with flexibility to changing demands
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills
  • Overseas experience will be considered; candidates must be eligible to work in Canada
